The Death Of Daniel Jackson
Most gaters will alreafy know about the death of sg-1 archeologist; Daniel Jackson in the episode 'Meridian'. But was was the real reason for the star's departure. According to interviews and press releases, Micheal Shanks left to move on, and he did not believe his character was being 'exercised' enough. Both Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) and Don S. Davis (General Hammond) were very upset about their friend's decision, and this often shows through to the screen. The Gateroom plans to still keep the spirit of Daniel Jackson alive through fan fiction, and not just let him be replaced by another pretty face. |
End of Stargate (?)
Stargate SG-1 has finally unvieled plans to end the Stargate Project. Many fans are extremely uposet about this, and many letters have been written to Stargate Productions regarding this. I think what fans need to realise is that Stargate itself is just a TV show, but many things can spiral off from it, such as fan fiction, yet another method of keeping Stargate alive. It is highly unlikley that there will be more Stargate shows, but as long as there is a steady supply of fan fics, maybe life won't be so bad, huh?! |

Keep the spirit of Stargate alive with FAN FICTION!!! Both of the above jobs are unpaid, and voluntary, but hey, they look great on your CV!
